alsa sound problems

If sound suddenly stops working, before digging too deep:

– reboot to text mode (systemd.unit=multi-user.target)

– unload all sound drivers (look at alsa-info.sh, modprobe -vr)

– delete /var/lib/alsa/asound.state

– reboot

then try again.
